arpschuino

spider board

Ultra-fine 12-bit dimming for LED, 16 channels.

The spider board allows for a fine gradation ideal for LED.

The spider board is controlled by I²C by an arpschuino. The 12 bit dimming (4096 steps), at the frequency of 1526 Hz, permits an incomparable accuracy. Step 1 is 16 times dimmer than with conventional 8-bit gradation.

With the code we provide, each output is controlled by a DMX channel. A special curve allows a gradual increase of the luminous intensity of the LED. The board is not programmed so the code must be uploaded in the arpschuino.

The spider board is provided with 2 darlington transistor arrays that allows it to deliver 500 mA for each of its 16 outputs. These outputs can be coupled two by two and thus deliver 1A.

For higher power, the two HE10 connectors allow 2 arpowers to be connected for 2A outputs and up to 8A with a heat sink.

The spider boards are daisy chainable. Only one arpschuino can drive up to 64 spider boards! A dip switch is used to define the position of each board.

The spider board can also be controlled by any other board compatible with the I²C protocol (Arduino, Raspberry pi ...).
